The rise of the far-right, generative AI polluting the web, our jobs disappearing, unemployment, a summer that just won’t end, capitalism running wild, wars, conversations with climate-change deniers, the nonsense spouted on TV talk shows—it’s all just exhausting.
So, my remedy is music. The Ramones, played at fuuuuull volume.
I’m copying and pasting a YouTube comment that made me laugh and perfectly captures my current state of mind—I really need to blow off some steam: "When I listen to the Ramones, so do my neighbors."
Anyway, here’s where things stand: I’m still trying to keep up a steady creative output. I’ve got a new EP coming out in December titled "Ball-Trap" (5 or 7 tracks), and at the same time, I’m working on a new animation project—yes, another one! It’s simpler, shorter, and uses stop-motion, since the previous project—which I spent four years working on with my friend Alexandre So—never really took off.
Oof, that really stings! I suppose that’s just life, and we’re certainly not the only ones, but it’s still tough to take!
To be honest, having two major projects fall through back-to-back over the span of eight years—that’s just too much for me.
All that for NOTHING—zero, nada!

I might pick things back up if I find the motivation, but certainly not before 2027.
In the meantime, I’ve returned to stop-motion—something I hadn’t done in a long time—working with a friend from the Basque Country named Zoun, who has already created a feature film entirely using pixilation! We’ll be reaching out to production companies soon, and will launch a YouTube channel shortly after. It’s a mini-series consisting of short episodes, but I won’t say any more—I don’t want to spoil anything!

La montée de l'extrême droite, l'IA générative qui pollue le web, nos métiers qui disparaissent, le chômage, l'été qui n'en fini pas, le capitalisme en roue libre, les guerres, les discussions avec des gens dans le déni climatique, les conneries débitées sur les plateaux télé, tout ça me fatigue.
Alors le remède pour moi c'est la musique. Les RAMONES à fond.

Alors voilà quand même où j'en suis, j'essaie quand même d'être régulier dans mes créations, je sors un nouvel EP en décembre intitulé "Ball-Trap" (5 ou 7 titres), et je suis en parallèle sur un nouveau projet d'anim (hé oui encore), plus simple, plus court, en stopmotion vu que l'autre n'a pas pris après 4 ans de travail avec mon ami Alexandre So.
Arg, ça fait mal, on dira que c'est la vie, qu'on est pas les seuls, mais c'est dur quand même à encaisser !
Il faut dire que c'est deux gros projets coup sur coup qui tombent à l'eau en 8 ans, c'est trop pour moi.
Tout ça pour RIEN, nothing, keuts, que tchi...

Je relancerai peut-être le truc si je suis motivé, mais certainement pas avant 2027.
Aussi, en ce moment je refais du Stopmotion, j'en avais pas fait depuis longtemps, avec un copain de la côte basque, Zoun, qui a déjà fait un long métrage entièrement en Pixilation ! Nous démarcherons les prods bientôt, puis ferons une chaîne Youtube sdans la foulée. C'est une mini-série avec des épisodes courts, mais je ne vous en dit pas plus pour ne pas divulgâcher quoique ce soit.
